Your Profile
Your profile is shown in bottom left hand corner of the screen. This will show which company you are submitting under, your data manager privileges as well as the ability to log out. If your user name and password allows you to manage data for more than one company, select the company you are representing from the switch company section, then click 'change' to confirm.
Data Manager Privileges
Each Data Manager has an associated privilege which dictates the functions they can perform.
There are two different Data Manager privileges. Level 1 Data Managers can see and use all the same functionality, but only a level 2 Data Manager can authorise a submission to be sent to the NHSBSA.
Adding or Removing Data Managers
An emc in-demand Administrator for your company can add or remove emc in-demand Data Managers, or change their privileges using the Contact Management System (CMS).
If you are an Administrator, CMS is located at: https://cms.medicines.org.uk/. The online CMS Help manual gives instructions on Adding a new Data Manager and Assigning or Changing Privileges.
If you are not an Administrator, please contact the person in your company who is responsible for emc in-demand and ask them to make the changes for you.
emc in-demand links to the electronic Medicines Compendium (emc). The NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) needs an updated SmPC for most submissions. If an in-demand Data Manager already has data management rights for the electronic Medicines Compendium (emc), SmPCs can be attached directly from the emc. emc in-demand Data Managers without emc access have the option to attach a local file.
System Security
emc in-demand requires data to be sent electronically from Datapharm to the NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA). To protect this data, it is held on a secure server and is encrypted during transmission.
Logging Out
Always Log Out after a session, by clicking Log Out in the 'my profile' box in the top right hand corner of the screen.
