The NHSBSA will process each submission as quickly as possible.

The NHSBSA needs to receive a submission 2 weeks before your ‘effective date’ to guarantee that the change will be made on the dm+d database by this date.

The effective date is the date your submission should be added to or removed from the dm+d database. The change will be seen on emc med data up to 5 working days later.

The NHSBSA prioritises in-demand submissions by effective date and then by the date the submission was sent to the NHSBSA (the earliest submission date having priority).

If you have an urgent submission e.g. for a product launch or to correct a serious data error, we suggest you contact the NHSBSA dm+d helpdesk to alert them and to seek their guidance. There is no facility to flag an urgent submission on emc in-demand.
